Early evening in Lake Kerkini in Northern Greece - the evening light gave this heron a golden glow as it glided over the lake from the far bank

I feel that if Israel can get in the Eurovision Song Contest then I can include their birds in my European Gallery

Light was awful when we came across two ducks on this small pond by the side of the road - managed to get a couple of shots off before the birds flew to an even darker part of the pond.
